SILENCE AND STILLNESS

Om. That is whole, and this also is whole, for only the whole is born out of the whole, And when the whole is taken from the whole, behold the remainder is whole, Om. Peace, peace, peace. This is perfect. Perfect comes from perfect.
Take perfect from perfect, the remainder is perfect. May peace and peace and peace be everywhere.

-The Upnishads

The man who, casting off all desires, lives free from attachment; who is free lives free from egoism and from the feeling that this or that is mine, obtains tranquility. That man attains peace who, abandoning all desires, moves about without attachment and longing, without the sense of ‘I’ and ‘mine;
This is the state of dwelling in god; having attained this, no one is ever deluded. Being established in this knowledge even at the end of life, one attains oneness with the supreme.

-The Bhagvad Gita

Drinking tea, eating rice, I pass my time as it comes, looking down at the stream, looking up at the mountain, How serene and relaxed I feel indeed!’’

-Pao-Tzu Wen-Ch’I
